The Marriage registration application must be submitted within 45 days from the date of the ritualization of Shaadi. You have to fill the prescribed form for applying i.e Form 1. It’s available at the registrar office free of cost. One passport size photo of each wife and husband (a total of three photos needed).
Two photos affixing in the memorandum and one in the register. Both parties to the marriage along with 2 witnesses should present during registration.

Special marriage act – Persons of any faith can get married under this act. Before being registered under this act. Both bride and groom must approach the local registrar’s office and apply for registration. After that registrar would display in the notice board of office for 30 days about the intent of the couple to get married.

₹ 100 as registration fee along with submission of memorandum for the reason of registration.
₹ 20 Marriage certificate fee also paid during the time of registration. A total of Rs 120.
For SC or ST or BPL persons, the fee for registration shall be ₹ 10. If the application submit within 45 days. Within 1 year along with form 2 ₹ 100 also should be remitted. If submitted after a one-year application must be accompanied by a fine amounting to ₹ 250.
