Under Kharif Paddy Procurement prakalpa around 13 lakh, farmers are enrolled by the relevant department, it’s said that around 7.20 lakh paddy farmers will be registered in this scheme, more and more farmers will be registered as per the concerned department. The Govt will also be procuring around 45 quintals from each krishak. This scheme will be very helpful to the unhindered supply of rice to the Public Distribution System under this scheme. The scheme newly launched under the State Government of WB.

What are the benefits of Paddy Procurement Scheme?
There are main benefits of this yojana will be provided to the farmers who will be getting a ceiling price of their paddys and rice. The Department of WB Govt will securing around 45 quintals from each farmers. Prices will also given according to the ceiling price that set by the WB Govt. In the FY 2019, the max procurement of paddy went up to 90 quintals for each farmer at an MSP of ₹ 1868 per qunital.

Yes, the Govt has made arrangements to purchase paddy from farmers this year.
Where and when the paddy is purchased?
The Govt has set up CPC (Centralised Procurement Centres across WB state. CPC is usually located in Kishan mandis of blocks or elsewhere. Paddy purchased in these CSC every day from 09:00 a.m to 03:00 pm except govt holidays throughout the year.
Can paddy also be sold outside of CPCs?
Yes, Co-op societies, SHFG, FPO also procure paddy on behalf of Govtas CMR agencies.
What documents are required to sell paddy?
Voter Card, IFSC-linked bank passbook, Land documents, Two passport size photo
How much paddy can a farmer sell?
A farmer can sell up to a max of 45 quintals of paddy only now in one year. District administration may fix it up to 15/20/25/30 quintal per farmer so that a large number of farmers may be covered.
Are there any restrictions on the purchase of moist or wet paddy?
Yes, The max limit of the moisture content of paddy is 17%. If the moisture to be more than 17%, paddy is usually rejected.
